Introduction

Beijing Normal University is a public university situated in Beijing, China. It was established in 1902 and under the  Chinese Ministry of Education as a Class A Double First Class University. Currently, the University has established collaborative relationships with more than 500 universities and international institutions from more than 30 countries and regions. The University comprises three other campuses, covering an area of around 738,779-meter square.

Currently, the University consists of  74 undergraduate degree programs, 185 master programs, and 142 doctoral programs. Among them, 16 programs are honored as "national key disciplines," containing 5 general disciplines and 11 specialized disciplines, and are also recognized as one of the top-ranked programs in China. It has 74 research laboratories; 4 are National Key Labs, 7 Key Labs of the Ministry of Education, and 5 Key Labs of the Beijing Municipality. There are  7 key research facilities in humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, 2 research institutions of Engineering and Technology of the Beijing Municipality, 3 research institutions jointly established with the Beijing Municipality, and over  40 other research institutions. Furthermore, the University has a center for  Proteomics, the only one center set in a university by the Ministry of Education. The University has more than 10,260 undergraduate students,12,891 postgraduates students, and also  3,086 academic staff.

The University offers different scholarships for those students, such as the Chinese Government Scholarship,  Beijing Government Scholarship, and BNU New International Student Scholarship.
