The Government of Thailand
offers the Royal Thai Government Scholarship through institutions such as the
Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok to outstanding students from
Asian countries, including Pakistan. In areas like Engineering,
the Environment, Development, Technology, Management, and Related
professions, it supports Master's and Doctoral studies. For
the duration of the Program, the Scholarship pays for living expenses,
on-campus housing, full tuition, and registration fees. PhD awards at AIT,
for instance, are worth roughly 1.96 million Thai Baht for 41 months.
This Program offers three
primary scholarship categories. His Majesty the King's Scholarships,
which provide full financial assistance, are the premier awards for Master's
and PhD students across AIT's several schools. The School of
Environment, Resources and Development's (SERD) Master's programs in Environmental
subjects are the primary focus of Her Majesty the Queen's Scholarships.
The Loom Nam Khong Pijai Scholarships, also called GMS Scholarships,
are intended for students from the Greater Mekong Sub-region and provide
funding for Master's degrees in Environmental Engineering, Energy, Infrastructure,
and Natural Resources.
Applicants must have a solid
academic record (minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0) and evidence of English
proficiency, such as an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher. It is not
specifically necessary to have a bank statement. The application date for
the August 2026 intake is scheduled for around February 28, 2026.
Pakistani students have a fantastic opportunity for high-quality education, advanced
research, and cross-cultural interaction in Thailand, thanks to this fully
supported Scholarship.

Study in Thailand for Pakistani students
Maintain Excellent Grades
Your chances are significantly
increased if your GPA is strong (above 3.5/4.0). High academic achievement
demonstrates dedication and competence.
Write a Strong Statement of
Purpose
Clearly state your objectives,
including why you wish to study in Thailand, your intended career path, and how
the Scholarship will benefit your
nation.
Choose the right Program.
To demonstrate academic
connection and Purpose, apply to an area that aligns with your prior coursework
or professional experience.
Secure Strong Recommendation
Letters
Ask instructors or managers who
are familiar with your work. Their thorough letters give your application more
legitimacy.
Prepare for the Interview
Be self-assured, be aware of your
research interests, and articulate why you want to study at AIT and in Thailand.
Submitting Incomplete
Documents
Many candidates are automatically
disqualified for failing to upload one or more required documents, such as
transcripts, reference letters, or English test results.
Weak or Generic Statement of
Purpose
Ambiguous or copied SOP fails to
impress. Demonstrate it personally, clearly, and in a way that is directly
linked to your academic and career goals.
Ignoring Scholarship
Requirements
You may lose your chance if you
don't check the eligibility criteria. Usually, review the complete details on
the official website before applying.
Poor Time Management
If you submit your application
close to the deadline, it may cause technical errors or missed uploads. Apply
early for better consideration.
Lack of Research About the
Program
Without knowledge of AIT, your
education program, or Thailand's education system, you may create a poor
impression and reduce your chances of being selected.
Unclear Research Proposal
For PhD candidates, unclear or vague research proposals highlight a lack of direction. A research proposal must be clear, relevant, and easy to comprehend.
