Write a Compelling Motivation Letter
Explain clearly why you chose Portugal, your selected area of study, and how it matches with your plans. Personalize the letter to the university that is receiving it.
Prepare Complete and Verified Documents
Ensure that all documents, including transcripts, letters of recommendation, certificates, and IDs, are updated, accurate, and translated, if necessary, into either English or Portuguese.
Obtain Strong Letters of Recommendation
Request references from professors or employers who know your abilities well. Sincere and detailed recommendations lend more credibility to your application.
Demonstrate Language Proficiency
If the program is offered in Portuguese or English, please provide valid test scores for DELF, IELTS, TOEFL, etc. Strong communication skills are highly valued.

Include volunteer work, internships, or leadership roles that demonstrate your initiative and community engagement.

Failure to apply on time
Applications received after September 30, 2025, will automatically be rejected. Always submit early to avoid web or document upload issues.
Avoiding Eligibility Criteria
Most candidates are not selected because they do not meet the academic or language requirements. Review each eligibility criterion carefully before beginning your application.
Submitting Incomplete Documents
Documents lacking a transcript, ID copy, or reference letters are often rejected. Create a checklist to ensure all the required files are attached.
Poorly Written Motivation Letter
A Common or unclear statement weakens your application. Instead, write a focused, well-structured letter that reveals your goals and why you are deserving of the scholarship.
Weak Recommendation Letters
Avoid unclear or impersonal references. Choose recommenders who can describe your skills, achievements, and character in detail.
Lack of Proofreading
Grammar or spelling errors give a bad impression. Re-read your documents several times or have someone else review them.
Not fulfilling Language Requirements.
Failure to provide a valid IELTS, TOEFL or Portuguese proficiency certificate will make your application incomplete. Prepare and attach Proof of language skills.
Use of Outdated Information
Old academic results or expired certificates reduce credibility. Always provide the most recent and verified versions of all documents.
Failure to Follow Instructions
Each university has its own submission format or essay length limit. One must pay great attention to every detail lest the essay be disqualified.
Underestimating Competition
It is a competitive scholarship; do not rush. Allow yourself time to perfect every section for a professional, error-free submission.
