Introduction

Southeast University is a public university situated in  Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. It was established in 1902 and is known as one of the oldest universities. Also, it is a member of  Project 985, Project 211, and is under the supervision of the Ministry of Education of China. It comprises three campuses, namely Sipailou Campus, Jiulonghu campus, and Dingjiaqiao campus.

Specialty

Currently, the university has almost 16,000 undergraduate students and 10,000 graduate students in more than 30 schools and departments. Also, it comprises about 5,600 faculty members, among them 8 members are from the Chinese Academy, 25 are Changjiang Scholars, 1 fellow of State Department Degree Committee and  9 members from State Department Degree Committee, 31 from distinguished national youth research scientists, 7 members from "863 Projects" expert committee, and 57 excellent Department of Education research scientists. It offers 64 undergraduate programs; among 206 are master programs, 109 are doctoral programs, and 15 are postdoctoral research sites. In the most recent official rankings evaluation, 6 programs are in the top 5, and another 6 programs are in the top 10 nationwide. Whereas the School of Biomedical Science & Engineering ranks first place. The university is also known for its leading research ability. It contains 10 National First-class Academic programs, 6 potential National First-class Academic Programs. 3 National Research Labs, 1 National Professional Lab, 2 National Engineering Research institutions, and 7 Department of Education First-class Labs.
