Introduction

Peking University is a public university located in Beijing, China, and a part of the elite C9 League. It was established in 1898 and one of the prestigious universities. The University has six faculties as Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences and  Health Science Center, Economic and Management, and Information and Engineering. Also, it contains 49 colleges and departments and offers 128 undergraduate programs, 285 graduate programs, and 262 doctoral programs.

Specialty

It has more than 16,328 undergraduate students, 17,830 postgraduate students, and 11,816 doctoral candidates. Currently, the University contains  3,188 full-time faculties; among them 1,100 are professors, and 889 are associate professors, including 81 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 19 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Furthermore, It consists of 9 national key laboratories, 124 state key laboratories, two national engineering research institutions, and ten affiliated hospitals and health centers. The library is the largest university library in Asia, with 7.331 million books and Chinese and foreign journals and newspapers. The library is also used as a comprehensive modern information center. According to the QS World University Rankings,  it is positioned 23rd in the world and 5th in Asia. The University was also stood 15th in the world and 1st in Asia in The Three University Missions Ranking.
