The Central Academy of Fine Arts is a public art academy located in Beijing, China. It was established in 1918 under the supervision of the Ministry of Education of China. The academy's teaching and research area comprises a total area of ​​495 mu, with a total building area of ​​247,000 square meters. The university consists of four other campuses, the Wangjing campus, the Yanjiao campus, the Houshayu campus, and the Xiaoying campus. Currently, the university has a library known as one of the most advanced professional art libraries in China, with 400,000 books.
It contains eight professional branches, namely, Chinese Painting-School, School of
Plastic Arts, School of Design, School of Architecture, School of Humanities,
School of Urban Design. Every year, the academy recruits technical secondary
school students, junior college students, undergraduate students, master
students, doctoral students, and various advanced students. Currently, the
academy has 6,425 students of different types; 3464 are undergraduates, 1161
are postgraduates, 213 are postgraduate students, while 215 international
students, 917 are affiliated high school, and 455 other students. Also, it
contains a museum that has precious collections containing more than 2,000
paintings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
