Studying in Slovenia 2024 is the best option for students because it is a small green country in the heart of Europe bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It is a Schengen state, so you can explore Europe without a separate visa. The official language in Slovenia is Slovene, but people can also speak English. The official currency used in Slovenia is the Euro More than 30 universities in Slovenia offer admission in programs like business administration, computer sciences, IT, and social sciences for Bachelor, Master, and doctorate degrees.

The course durations vary for different programs. The tuition fee to study in Slovenia is affordable and ranges from 2000 to 15000 euros annually, depending on the program. The IELTS requirement to study in Slovenia is optional. Some universities may require a score of 6, but you can also study in Slovenia without taking the IELTS. Several partially and fully funded scholarships in Slovenia are also available. The universities also require a bank statement of about 8000 euros for the whole process.

However,  if the account holders applying, in a Salary account statement will also be mandatory. You will have the opportunity to work part-time in Slovenia while studying. Due to the low population, many job opportunities are available there. You would also have a chance to get an after-study work permit upon completing your educational degree. Considering its affordability, the living expenses in Slovenia are 400-700 euros per month. After five years of stay, you can apply for permanent residency (PR) in Slovenia.

1. University of Primorska – Scholarship

It is a university-based, partially funded, private scholarship awarded to the best students internationally based on their academic grades and performance. It is awarded for 10 months, which is about one academic year. Online applications are submitted along with a CV showing grades and extracurricular activities. 

Grant Amount: 2000-4800 euros for one academic year

2. University of Ljubljana – Scholarships

4. University of Nova Gorica – Scholarships

It is a public scholarship fundedby the government of Slovenia that focuses on recognizing local and international students with extraordinary academic or extracurricular skills. The scholarship is deducted from the government's development and maintenance fund for universities.

Scholarship Amount: The scholarship grant varies for each student's degree and university of admission

5. GEA College Scholarships

This is a partially funded scholarship for bachelor's students, mainly those taking the entrepreneurship program. The GEA college will require letters of motivation and recommendation. Part-Time Working Hours and Income in Slovenia
