Introduction

Yunnan Normal University is a university located in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province, China. The university covers ​​3,300 acres, with 24 colleges, 2 independent colleges, 29 affiliated and cooperatively-run primary and secondary schools, and kindergartens. The university contains two national platforms, the National Solar Energy Quality Inspection institution, China-Laos Renewable Energy Joint Laboratory, the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, the Engineering Research institution of the Ministry of Education, the Key Laboratory of Yunnan Province, and the Engineering institution of Yunnan Province.

Specialty

Currently, the university contains over 32,000 full-time doctoral, master, and undergraduate students and over 16,000 adult continuing education students. Also, it has a  library with more than 3.4 million books and materials. The university comprises 11 disciplines: literature, history, philosophy, law, teaching, management, science, engineering, economics, art, and agriculture, forming a multi-disciplinary and coordinated development of disciplines and majors. Its 15 domains are in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education. Each university subject is in the top 70% of universities in the country, in which geography ranks in the top 20% and pedagogy ranks in the top 40%. The university has 93 undergraduate majors, 17 provincial-level key disciplines, 6 provincial-level first-class disciplines, 2 post-doctoral research mobile centers, 4 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points and  1 professional doctoral degree authorization the point, and 1 It is authorized by the first-level discipline to approve doctorate degrees in second-level domains, 28 first-level disciplines for master's degree authorization, and 16 types of master's professional degree authorization points.
