Introduction

Soochow University, established in 1900 in Suzhou, was the main western-style university in China. Soochow University being the first the private university established in Taiwan and with over 100 years of history is steeped in determination and sincerity of operating under the school motto. The university making innovations in education and teaching. The university contains five schools, the school of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the school of foreign languages and culture, the school of science, the school of law, and the school of business. Specialty

Soochow University is in the social center of Taipei City. Close to the National Palace Museum, among rich green slopes and a stream streaming by, the Waishuanghsi Campus presents a stupendous view and offers the students an unrivaled environment. There are different feature programs  such as Program of Human Rights, Program of Creative Cultural Industries(PCCI) and Program of Non-Profit Organizational Management(NPO). Also, there are research centers known as the Center of Social-Geographic Information Systems(Soc GIS), Suzhou Research Center, GIS Innovation and Industrial Incubation Center.  Also, it is a part of the “2011 Project” and among the members of the “2011 plan”. The university contains 23 departments, including 22 Master’s Programs and 6 Doctoral Programs. Currently, there are over 39,000 students in the university. The educational development programs of the university are based on the pursuit of the highest "teaching", quality, and "learning" excellence for the students.

Scholarship Details

Soochow University opened entrance into all degree programs in sponsorship with China Scholarship Council. The public authority of China supports scholarships that are being given to worldwide students every year to advance social trade and advancing Chinese Universities. Soochow University CSC scholarship is a top Chinese scholarship that is open for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants. The applicants who wish to study at the Soochow University can apply in Chinese Government Scholarship 2021. The candidates from bachelors, masters, and Ph.D. background can apply for this scholarship. It is a fully-funded scholarship with a 2500 RMB- 3000 RMB monthly allowance for Masters Candidates and 3500 RMB for Ph.D. candidates. Applicants have to apply online for scholarships.

Admission Details

For admission to Soochow University, the candidate ought to have a secondary school certificate for the undergraduate program while a bachelor's degree for Masters and a Master’s degree for PhD. The candidate ought to be under 35 years old for bachelors while must be under 45 years for masters and under 50 years for the doctoral program. The candidate must hold a non-Chinese citizen passport. For the English capability proof, the minimum necessity is 80 for TOEFL, or 6.0 for IELTS for masters applicants while for Ph.D., the minimum necessity is 85  for TOEFL, or 6.5 for IELTS as English capability proof. The applicants have to submit an online form with all scanned documents. All documents must be notarized.
