Introduction

Shanghai Maritime University is a public university located in Shanghai, The people's Republic of China. Currently, there are over 26,900 students and 1,300 full-time teachers. It contains three post-doctoral research stations, four first-level discipline doctoral programs, 17 Second-level doctoral programs whereas 16 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 13 professional degree authorization categories, and 49 undergraduate majors. The university has established exchanges and collaborative relations with over 100 international universities. Also, it is composed of 1 national key discipline,2 Shanghai plateau disciplines, and nine ministerial and municipal key disciplines.
