Introduction

The Northwestern Polytechnical University is a public university situated in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. It was established in 1938 and also a member of the 211 Project and 985 Project. It comprises three other campuses: the Youyi Campus, the Chang'an Campus, and the Taicang Campus. Also, it is among the first universities to establish a graduate school.

Specialty

Currently, the university has more than 26,000 students and over 3700 faculties. Also, the university contains more than 180,000 Alumni and 17 national key labs or centers. It has more than 20 affiliated schools. It is among the 36 Type-A schools that Double First Class University Plan faculties support. The university's five disciplines have been ranked in the top 1% of ESI international discipline rankings. In 2019, the university stood 27th in the Chinese university ranking. It offers 58 undergraduate programs, 117 master programs, 67 doctorate programs, and 14 postgraduate degree programs. There are 2 First-level National Key Disciplines, 7 Second-level National Key Disciplines, 2 National Key Disciplines, 21 First-level Disciplines for Doctorate Degree-Granting, and 31 First-level Disciplines for master's degree Granting. The university's engineering stood in the 10th among China's engineering universities.
