Introduction

Northeastern University is a public university located in Shenyang, Liaoning province, China. It was established in 1923. The university also has a campus in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, China. It comprises a total area of 2,550,000 square meters, of which the building area amounts to 1,680,000 square meters. The university has established collaborative cooperation with 219 universities and institutions in 36 countries and regions. To bring in more international talents of various disciplines, the university has made 4 National Innovation Centers. Also, it contains two national collaborative innovation institutions and three collaborative innovation institutions of Liaoning province.

Specialty

Currently, the university has 4,538 faculty members, among whom 2,711 are full-time teachers. Also, it comprises five academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, four foreign academicians, 18 scholars who are selected into "National High-level Personnel from Special Support Program and 23 winners from "The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars while " 16 winners from the "Joint Research Fund for Overseas Chinese Scholars and Scholars in Hong Kong and Macao". In contrast, 102 selected into the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Project," and 14 who are selected into "the National Outstanding Talents Project." It has more than 100 research institutes, containing three national key laboratories, four national engineering (technology) research institutions, and three national engineering laboratories.
