Introduction

Nankai University is a national public university situated in Tianjin, China. Also, the university is a member of project 985, project 211, and a Ministry of Education Class A Double First-Class University. It was established in 1919 and is also known as a comprehensive university with a wide range of disciplines. It has cooperative and exchange relationships with over 320 foreign universities and academic institutions. It contains three campuses such as Balitai, Jinnan, and Teda.

Specialty

It contains 26 academic colleges and offers 92 undergraduate specialties 28 Post-Doctoral research centers, and 31 authorized primary Doctoral specialties. Also, it has 6 first degree national key disciplines, 9-second degree national key disciplines, 2 national key cultivating fields, and 32 first degree Tianjin municipal key disciplines. Currently, there are 2,162 faculty members; among them, 822 are doctoral supervisors, 770 are master's supervisors, 864 are professors, and 840 are associate professors. It comprises 11 members from the Chinese Academy of Science and 3 members from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 chief scientists from the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program), and 15 top scientists from the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program) and 17 leaders from the National Key Research and Development Program of China. Also, the 8 teachers of the university are awarded by the Ministry of Education. It contains 28,557 enrolled students; among 16,372 are undergraduate students, 8,322 are master's candidates, and 3,863 are doctoral candidates.

It offers several scholarships to international students. It includes Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship, University Award for Outstanding International Students, Confucius Institute Scholarship, and Chinese Government Scholarship.
