Introduction

Beijing Institute of Technology is a public university situated in Beijing, China. It was established in 1940 and supported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Also, the university is a member of  Project 985, Project 211, and known as a top multi-discipline university. It contains six campuses, namely the Liangxiang campus, Fangshan campus, Qinhuangdao campus, and Zhuhai campus. The university has about 188 hectares, covering a  floor area of about 1.61 square meters.

Specialty

The university has a library with a large volume of books and 9 individual academies. Currently, it contains over 3420 teaching staff, including 2284 full-time teachers,23 Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering,1032 are doctoral supervisors, and 35 from the national innovation team. It comprises about 28460 full-time students, 14727 are undergraduate students,8381 are master degree candidates,4247 are doctoral degree applicants,1105 are overseas students, and 418 are international exchange students. This University student has won 15 top 10 work in 9 consecutive annual conferences on college students' innovation and entrepreneurship. Also, it is ranked 1st among Chinese universities. Currently, the university has established cooperative relations with over 270 universities in 74 countries and regions on six continents and a student exchange program with over 70 partner universities. It has established 18 professional schools such as Xu Teli School, Advanced Research Institute for Multidisciplinary Science, Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, Institute of Convergence Medical and Engineering, etc.
