Latvia Government Scholarship is a Fully Funded Scholarship for Pakistani Students. Latvia Government Scholarship
Scholarship amount
€500 a month for first, second, and third study year bachelor's
(and second level professional higher education students)
Master's students (as well as second-level professional higher
education students beginning in their fourth year of study) pay €600 a month
A PhD student's monthly stipend is €700.

Scholarship Coverage
- An individual may only receive the scholarship for a maximum of
two terms in a row.
- A student who stays in Latvia for fewer than 15 days does not
receive a scholarship.
- This scholarship in Latvia does not cover all costs; it may only be
used to pay for the tuition for housing and meals, not for transport
expenditures to or from Latvia.
- Students from one nation may receive up to 10% of the scholarship
funding available for that year; the scholarship cannot be granted in
conjunction with another scholarship.
- Students who have accomplished a minimum of one academic year of
study (at a higher education institution at their home-based or, if they have
already been studying in Latvia, at a Latvian higher education institution) may
apply for admission to the Bachelor and First level of professional higher
education programs.
- A student must reapply for the Latvian scholarship if they wish to
stay in Latvia for an additional year of study.
- For Master's and second-level professional higher education
students (starting in the fourth year), 500 EUR per month for Bachelor's and
second-level students PhD candidates: 600 EUR per month; - 700 EUR per month
- Not all English-language study programs offered by Latvian
universities are free. The recipient of the Latvian scholarship may utilize the
funds for lodging and food in addition to the tuition. Students should remember
that the scholarship money is insufficient to pay for all their expenditures in
Latvia.
- The Latvian scholarship does not pay for airfare to or from the
recipient's native country.
- Recipients of scholarships are expected to obtain their health
insurance.
- Study scholarships granted to candidates from a single nation may be at most 10% of the overall award amount.
Eligibility criteria
- Students pursuing a bachelor's degree who have effectively finished at least one academic year at any higher education institution
- PhD or master's candidates from any former HEI
- International scholars, researchers, and students can apply for
Latvian state scholarships to attend summer schools in Latvia.
- Interested candidates may come from any of the more than 40
qualifying nations that have partnered with Latvia in education and science;
these nations include those in Europe, Asia, North America, and South America.

Required documents

- A copy of a letter from the appropriate Latvian higher education
institution (HEI letter) verifying the international student's eligibility for
the selected study program and providing information on the teaching language
(either Latvian or another official EU language)
- A duplicate of your passport or ID
- Plan of study during the length of the scholarship
- All non-English or non-Latvian papers must be translated into one
of those languages
Note this, please:
- Any document written in a language other than English needs to be
properly verified and translated into either Latvian or English.
- Only electronic submissions of the application are accepted, and all required files must be submitted to the system.
- Applications that are incomplete, erroneous, or lack the required papers will not be accepted.
Language Criteria
This scholarship does not require IELTS. Students must submit the English proficiency certificate from the last university they attended.
Latvia Scholarship Applying method
The application process in Stages is given as:
- The application process requires that a candidate create a profile
in the system with a special login and password. This is the link to the online
application form. Subsequently, an online application form may be completed,
and the required papers may be added. The following files must be uploaded
according to the system's requirements.
- Fill out the application form online.
- Complete an application form following all guidelines carefully
- Applications that are inaccurate or incomplete are not evaluated
- Attach all required application materials (in either English or
Latvian)
- Apply within the call's deadline
- You will receive a formal email decision on the scholarship grant in June; the decision may be viewed in the applicant's profile on the online application system.
Two categories of applications exist
- Full-time international students who have completed at least one
academic year at the Academy or the home institution may be admitted to the
first-year levels of bachelor's and second-level professional higher education
studies. Students who are already enrolled at the Academy and have completed a
prior stage of study by the time of application and those who will be admitted
to study at the Academy for the summer intake of 2024–2025 after the conclusion
of a study agreement may be admitted to Master's and PhD programs. Candidates
shall forward collected documents.
- The College staff will only draft an authorization letter and authorize an education plan for the relevant candidate after pre-evaluating the supplied papers. Our staff will draft two more reference letters and an academic transcript for foreign students enrolled full-time at our institution.
Application requirements
- Before applying for a scholarship, a candidate must select a
course of study at a Latvian HEI
- Before applying for a scholarship, the candidate must get the
Latvian HEI's confirmation letter for the selected study program.
- Before applying for a scholarship, a candidate who is currently
enrolled in a Latvian higher education institution should additionally get a
confirmation letter for their current or selected study program.
- The assigned contact person must submit a confirmation letter from a Latvian HEI for the selected study program.
Certain Time Frame
- For Master's and Bachelor's degree candidates, up to 10 months
- For doctoral students, up to 11 months
Monetary Distributions
- No money will be given to the Latvian scholarship recipients;
instead, the scholarship dues will be transferred to the summer school
organizers
- The cost of travel from the participant's home country to Latvia,
where the summer school is being held, as well as any additional costs for
insurance and visas, must be covered by them
- The required paperwork for the summer schools must be sent
straight to the summer school organizers
- All candidates will be notified by the organizers of the scholarship competition's outcome
