The USA is a dream destination for Pakistani students for higher education. The USA is the best-renowned country in the world because of its high-quality education, the world's best and top-ranked universities with all the modern and latest research and education facilities. Fulbright scholarship in the United States is a great initiative from US Department of State for Pakistani students.
The USA has the world’s top-ranked universities like Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University,
Princeton University, and many others. Last year more than 1.1 million students
went to the USA for studies averaging all time-high from all around the world.
The Fulbright scholarship for Pakistani students is one of the biggest fully
funded scholarship in USA. This scholarship is only
for master's and PhD candidates. Pakistani students will be placed in their
selected universities according to the application scores. The scholarship
provides the opportunity for students to get international education experience
and enhance their abilities to contribute to society. The students have a chance to make long-term
connections with different types of people. This is one of the best postgraduate
options for students to grow their careers.
A master’s program normally lasts two years and PhD programs
duration is four years. All the benefits and rewards are awarded for one year
and then renewed for the next year of the degree program.
All the candidates who got selected under this program need to follow the contract between USEFP and HEC. For a PhD candidate, HEC makes a contract after a successful completion of the degree they must come back to Pakistan from the USA and work for Pakistan for the same number of years of their education under the Fulbright scholarship program. The length of the contract is a minimum of 2 years on a yearly basis.

The Fulbright scholarship is a fully funded scholarship
program for Pakistani students. The benefits of the Fulbright scholarship
program are:
There is only one major field that Pakistan students cannot
apply, which is “clinical medicine”. Other than this field all the fields are
available to select.
Students are encouraged to apply in the fields of public health, agriculture, energy, water, social sciences, arts & culture management, journalism, urban & regional planning, data science, and many other subjects.

Some of the applicants who cannot apply for this scholarship
are:
Applicants in both master’s and PhD programs must have to
appear in the Graduate Record Examination (GRE general). The minimum required
score is 145 and students must get 145 scores in each section GRE examination.
For English proficiency, Pakistani students need to appear in the TOEFL (Test
of English as a Foreign Language). The minimum required scores for TOEFL are
79-80 for IBT (internet-based test) and 550 plus paper-based test.
All the documents need to be attested by the HEC
(Higher Education Commission Pakistan). Students need to follow all the
instructions provided by HEC and USEFP to complete the attestation process.

A valid Passport
A complete application process is required for a successful
application. Pakistani students can apply through USEFP (United States
Education Foundation in Pakistan) http://www.usefpakistan.org/. USEFP has 3 different offices
in Pakistan. Students need to follow all the instructions provided by USEFP for
successful application.

Answer: The Fulbright scholarship is for master’s and PhD students. For master’s
candidates must have a minimum of 16 years of complete education and for PhD
minimum required education is 18 years.
Answer: There are no GPA requirements for Fulbright scholarships. USEFP (United
States Education Foundation Pakistan) mentioned that there are no CGPA
requirements, but GRE scores are more important. Some students with having CGPA
of around 2.5 with GRE scores over 300 were selected for the scholarship
program.
Answer: There are no exact GPA requirements for students but having over 3.2 or
above is considered a safe GPA for the Fulbright program.
Answer: Pakistani students who want to apply for the Fulbright scholarship
program need to appear in the TOEFL exam. The minimum required score of 79-80
for IBT (internet-based test) and paper-based tests student’s minimum scores
must be over 550.
Answer: For this program admission committee checks and evaluates all the
applications according to the requirements. The committee has a difficult
decision in selecting a limited number of students from many bright and
talented students. Rejection is possible. The students shouldn’t take it
personally and apply for other opportunities.
Answer: There are no age limits for the Fulbright scholarship
program.
Answer: The Fulbright scholarship is a very competitive
scholarship program. The average acceptance rate for Pakistani students ranges
from 10-20% only. But for scholars, the acceptance rate is a little higher than
for students. The acceptance rate also varies from country to country.
Answer: Yes, interviews are required for this program. After
completion of the application review process from the Fulbright advisors and
the application is selected for university review. The interview is scheduled
by the program advisor with campus authorities.
Answer: Yes, Dependents are allowed to travel but need to apply separately for
every family member. These family members are not entitled to receive
scholarship benefits such as stipends, or accident or health insurance.
Answer: Pakistani students cannot avail this program twice as per the
instructions of the program. One applicant can receive this scholarship only
once.
