Chances of Getting the Scholarship
If the grades of students are good and the research proposal that he had submitted along with his application is clear and workable the chances of getting the scholarship are high.
There are several students whose applications have been rejected by the universities although their grades and past academic performance were remarkable the research proposal they wrote was not up to the mark. Therefore, while writing your research proposal mind a few things i.e., clarity in writing, the statement of the problem should be workable, plagiarism-free, etc.
Documents Required for CSC Scholarship
For getting CSC Scholarships following are the detailed
documents that students are required to submit:
- The foremost step is to fill out the application form which
students will find after getting registered on the official website of the
Chinese Scholarships offered by the Government.
- Attested transcripts of the most recent/highest degree from
the Notary Public.
- CV/Resume having all the information and experiences of the
student
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form or Official medium Form
filled and signed by some physician which must be sealed by the hospital or
medical center where the test took place. At least one stamp should be stamped
on the top of the previously attached card photograph. Moreover, forms older
than 6 months from the date of application are not accepted.
- Letters of recommendation (at least two) from university/college
professor.
- IELTS/TOFEL certificate if a student wants to enroll in an
English-taught program and does not belong to a native English-speaking
country. If a student didn't appear in the IELTS/TOFEL test he can provide an
English proficiency certificate stating that the last program in which he/she
was enrolled was an English-taught program.
- Research proposal
Note: if a student has an HSK diploma (Chinese level) he/she
should attach it with the application because the Government of China finances 2
years of Chinese language university studies so the students must reach the
level of Chinese which is required by the program which students want to
choose. This plan does not apply to those who are getting admission to
English-taught programs as the enrollment ratio in such courses is already
twice that of Chinese programs.
- Acceptance letter from Chinese University Professor; the
university student wants to take admission. This does not apply to all
universities in China because some universities do not have requirements for
acceptance letters. However, if the university to which you want to be admitted
requires an acceptance letter you should approach the university professors
through their profiles and should get the acceptance letters as soon as
possible.
- Pre-admission letter is issued by the desired university
which students have to get.
- Other documents may include research publications or any
distinction students have achieved in his/her academic career.
- If the university student wants to enroll in has any requirement of application process fee or application screening, the student is bound to pay it and to attach the receipt of that fee with the Scholarship application form along with other documents.
Visa requirements and documents list
The visa
that students get to study in China is known as an X visa. It is further
classified into two categories:
- For
long-term studies -X1 Visa
- For Short-term studies – the X2 Visa
Documents required for a visa to study in China are:
- A valid
Passport for at least six months
- Passport
size photographs

Notice Chinese university to which he/she got admission
- Copy of approved Foreign Student Visa Application from JW201 OR JW202 from X1 application only
Cost of Living
China as
compared to other countries has significantly less cost of living. The expenses
like accommodation, transport, and food are much cheaper than in any other
country in Europe and America. Just for example a student could purchase a meal
for £ 2 to £ 3 and could have a
trip on public transport for a lesser amount of 50-60 cents. The rent of
accommodation is also very reasonable. The average rent of a space in Beijing,
China is £ 112 per month.
Part-time working hours and income
Students can work part-time by getting permission from their university. If the university allows students to work (which every university does) students can easily manage their studies and other expenses by earning part-time in China.
After studying work permits/Future opportunities
China has one of the best job markets in the World. After USA China is the superpower providing potential jobs to its students after their education is completed. H
